Our history

1884 Jumonji Shokai founded
1904 Kimmon Shokai founded
1948 Kimmon Manufacturing Co., Ltd. founded
1966 Started research on He-Ne, Argon laser, etc.
1971 Began manufacturing He-Cd lasers
1991 Succeeded in achieving the highest powered UV He-Cd laser (100mW)
1994 25,000 He-Cd lasers sold
2005 KIMMON KOHA CO., LTD. established (Laser Division becomes separate entity)
2012 44,000 He-Cd lasers sold
2014 Fiber laser release
2016 NEDO's "High-brightness, high-efficiency next-generation laser technology development" project started jointly with Chiba Institute of Technology and Institute for Laser Technology
2019 46,000 He-Cd lasers sold
2021 As a result of the NEDO project, a UV Fiber Laser (318nm, 100mW) was developed.
2022 Became a wholly owned subsidiary of Marktec Corporaion. Relocation of head office.
